For this week’s Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, we’re supposed to pick one book for each year (oh god). The choices I’ve had to make!!!! I’m assuming this means books read that year, as opposed to publication year, so that’s what I’m going with. 2015 might have been the hardest year to choose, SO many favorites! I couldn’t help but include a few runner ups.
2018: Gemina
2017: Lady of the Eternal City; Foolish Hearts; A Darker Shade of Magic
2016: The Hating Game
2015: The Song of Achilles; Grounded: The Adventures of Rapunzel; The Deal
2014: Blue Lily, Lily Blue
2013: The Crimson Crown; Meant To Be
2012: A Game of Thrones; Catching Fire;
2011: Drums of Autumn
2010: The Forgotten Garden; Pillars of the Earth; The Thirteenth Tale
2009: The Memoirs of Cleopatra
It’s so interesting to notice the changes in my reading history; years ago I read much less but the books were extremely long. These days it’s a lot of YA but the thing that stays the same across age ranges are my favorite genres: fantasy, historical fiction, and contemporary romance.
Have you noticed changes in your reading habits over the years? Do you find it difficult to pick one definitive favorite like I do? Let me know! And let me know if we have any favorites in common 🙂
Oh The Hating Game, Foolish Hearts and Gemina were so good!

Would you consider Foolish Hearts your favorite Emma Mills novel? I’m looking to try her again. Hope 2019 is filled with many more amazing books!

I think it is! It’s a close tie between that and This Adventure Ends.
