Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother.

And that his best friend has a crush on me.

And that I just moved in with them.

Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?

I suppose it doesn’t matter. Fitzy has made it clear he’s not interested in me, even though the sparks between us are liable to burn our house down. I’m not the kind of girl who chases after a man, though, and I’m not about to start. I’ve got my hands full dealing with a new school, a sleazy professor, and an uncertain future. So if my sexy brooding roomie wises up and realizes what he’s missing?

He knows where to find me.

Elle Kennedy writes my favorite New Adult romances by far- I know what to expect from the writing quality (top notch), the story quality (always engaging) and the characters (always shippy and full of depth). I wish I loved Colin a little more but I really really loved Summer and I loved the depth of the story. Wish we got more cameos but I always like being able to spot who the next book will be about 😀 And the writing was really sexy and funny as always.

The acclaimed fantasy phenomenon comes to comics with a new prequel story from award-winning creator and New York Times bestseller V.E. Schwab!

In a gaslamp world where magicians navigate alternate Londons, the prince of Red London pursues a dark version of his beloved city – and faces worse than exile…

Sumptuously illustrated by Andrea Olimpieri (Dishonored) and Enrica Angiolini (Warhammer 40,000)

I already love where the story is heading and it’s interesting to see Maxim as much more arrogant and impetuous, like his son, rather than the king we’ve met in Shades of Magic. The artwork is beautiful, although the shading on the faces is a little extreme- I think I like cleaner lines but I’m by no means a comics expert. The way the magic is drawn though!! Ah!! Can’t wait for the next issue.
