What Did I Miss?

Hi y’all! Long time, no see! I moved a couple weeks ago so things have been hectic- so much packing, and still getting settled; we’re staying with family while apartment and job hunting. So to say I’ve been a little stressed the past month would be an understatement haha but things are falling into place! It’s so nice to be near our families again ❤ I also wasn’t reading much, and if I don’t read I don’t have content for the blog obviously. But now that I’ve taken an (impromptu) break I feel more refreshed. To start off, I thought I’d do a mini roundup of what I read in March- I’ll be reviewing most of these on the blog eventually.

Opal by Maggie Stiefvater- 3 stars
The Serpent and the Pearl by Kate Quinn- 3 stars
The Only Thing Worse Than Me Is You by Lily Anderson- 5 stars (reread)
The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan- 4 stars
Good Boy by Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen- 4 stars
Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff- 5 stars

I also saw Love, Simon with my husband opening weekend and we both loved it!!! He kept whispering to me who he thought Blue was, which made me smile.

Chris: “Do you think that’s Blue?!”
Me: “Well… I read the book…”
Chris: “Oh right, don’t tell me!”

It was a great adaptation, so cute and funny, and I loved the cast. Can’t wait for the DVD! As it happens, I am going to England and Scotland next week with my mom so I’m going to be on the quiet side again, as far as responding to comments and interacting BUT I am going to schedule a few posts for while I’m gone. And I’ll get in the groove with reading other blogs again too. Thanks for sticking with me!

Yay! Glad you’re back 🙂 Love, Simon was SO GOOD. My sister and I saw it together after I made her read the book and she was squealing the whole time, especially at the end haha. Have fun on your trip 😀

I’ll soon be in your position! I’m moving at the end of April (hopefully!) so I’ll be job hunting in that area … good luck with yours and I hope you will still enjoy the free time!

Wasn’t THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN ME IS YOU so good?! I haven’t read MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and I didn’t get like 25% of all the comic/geeky references but still found it so much fun. Also I’m so happy to see you loved GEMINA!!! I still have to read onward (I LOVED ILLUMINAE) but I think I need to re-read and start from the beginning since I forgot half of what happens haha. And you and your husband are so cute! Love that he was dedicated to figuring out who Blue is :p Hope you have a fun and safe trip in England!

Oh wow, good luck with your move!!! And job hunting! Yeah I’m trying to enjoy it because I know I’l look back and miss it sooner rather than later haha. Omg I loved it, it was a reread and just sooooo good! I haven’t read Much Ado either but from what a googled it seemed like a good adaptation. Yeah I def read a recap of Illuminae before diving in hahaha, but I remembered more than I expected! Really dying to start Obsidio soon. Omg it was adorable; he tends to love rom coms but I seriously loved that he was trying so hard to figure it out! Thank youuuuu, it was great.

Glad your move went well! I hope the apartment and job hunting is quick for you. Enjoy your trip to England/Scotland, hopefully you get to experience the nice side of UK weather, although it varies quite a lot! 🙂

Sounds like you’ve been busy! To be honest I couldn’t tell you what you missed as I took an impromptu hiatus as well. I hope the job and apartment hunting have been successful and that you enjoyed (or are enjoying) you’re European tour! Glad to hear Simon didn’t disappoint!
