I couldn’t decide on a theme or a genre for today’s top ten about hidden gems so I decided to make it a little more general and go with books/series I don’t hear mentioned enough in general. I try hard not to repeat answers to TTT and book tags too often but come on people- these books are excellent and need more love!
Shuffle, Repeat by Jen Klein
Star-Crossed by Barbara Dee
Grounded/Disenchanted by Megan Morrison
In The Time of Dragon Moon by Janet Lee Carey
The Cadet of Tildor by Alex Liddell
Unspoken/Untold/Unmade by Sarah Rees Brennan
Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis
The Blazing Star by Imani Josey
Shadow on the Crown by Patricia Bracewell
The Sister Queens by Sophie Perinot
Have you read any of these books? What books do you think people should discuss more often? I have so many on my TBR but I’m always looking to add more 🙂
I must pick up The Blazing Star soon. I’ve been so curious about it. I love The Lynburn Legacy so much. Kami and her scooby gang are an utter delight. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Stitching Snow. It almost made my list this week. Glad to see In the Time of Dragon Moon get some love from a fellow blogger!

It’s really interesting! Gets a little confusing towards the end but it’s super unique and I liked that a lot. Scooby gang, I love that! I felt the same way, I was afraid it would be too similar to TLC. I have to admit, I saw Dragon Moon on your post first and had to add it! It’s so excellent and rarely talked about.

I love In the Time of Dragon Moon. Personally, Dragonswood is my favorite of the three books.

I loved Unspoken! I never got around to the rest of the series, though—were they all as great as the first?
Ah, I listened to the audiobook of Grounded recently because I remembered you mentioning what a great series it was. I really enjoyed it! I can’t wait to get to Disenchanted.
Need to check out a few more of these! Great list, Morgan!

They are, it’s one of those trilogies that either stays strong or builds on the previous book. Oh I’m SO glad you enjoyed Grounded, that makes me really happy! The audio was good I take it? You’ll have to let me know what you think of Disenchanted. Thank you! 🙂

The only one of those familiar to me is Stitching Snow (which is on my wishlist- I didn’t realize it was a series!) Thanks- always nice to have more books to check out. 😀

I kind of jumbled them together, I think Stitching Snow is a standalone. There’s a companion which is also a sci fi retelling but I didn’t enjoy that one unfortunately. Oh yay, I’m glad! I feel the same way.

I want to read The Blazing Star and Stitching Snow SO BAD!! But I don’t hear people talk about them much and I’ve never heard of the others. So these definitely seem underrated!! Which is always sad, when good books don’t get the attention they deserve. 🙈🙊

Stiching Snow was REALLY fun! The Blazing Star gets a little confusing in the last quarter but I definitely recommend it. I knowwwww, especially when it’s a favorite book!
