Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. Last week I focused on holiday gifts and gift card purchases. This week is all about advanced copies and library books! Of course all of my NG requests and library holds came in at once- Murphy’s Law 🙂
The latest from the library:
Ash by Malinda Lo
Black Panther: The Young Prince by Ronald L. Smith
A Dash of Trouble by Anna Meriano
Unearthed by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer
From NetGalley:
Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian (really enjoying this so far!)
The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton
Marabel and the Book of Fate by Tracy Barrett
Circe by Madeline Miller
Isle of Blood and Stone by Makiia Lucier
The Forest Queen by Betsy Cornwell
The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
ARCs:

I just finished Ash Princess last night so I was planning on starting The Belles and/or American Panda this week! I saw that you’re reading The Belles, what do you think so far?

Ahhh, so many good ones!! Ash is one of my favorites! Wicked Deep was amazing, I thought. Just finished Forgetting Book and I really enjoyed that one, and I’m reading Daughter of a Siren Queen right now! I hope you enjoy all these new goodies, Morgan!

HOW HAVE YOU NOT IMMEDIATELY STARTED CIRCE?! I’ve been thinking about which edition to buy and I think I like the US one better. The UK one just doesn’t do it for me especially with that color while the gold on the US one looks so good.
I’m curious about Black Panther: The Young Prince and To Kill a Kingdom sounds so good. I need to read Malinda Lo’s books since Ellis is always praising them.
Oh, so I forgot to tell you but I got Daughter of the Pirate King a few days ago! I’m excited to read it =D
Happy reading!

Because I am ridiculous?!?! IDK…. also I was trying to be good about arcs date-wise but I’m already failing so… might as well read Circe…. yeah I love the gold on the US cover!
This will be my first Malinda Lo, I will report back! Same with TKAK, I’ve heard it’s dark fantasy which sounds up our alley.
Oh yay!! It’s such a fun read, lots of adventure. Happy reading to you!! 😀

I just picked up A Dash of Trouble from the library yesterday. I hope we both enjoy it and that we both don’t end up returning it before reading it, because we both know that’s always a possibility with library books. Happy February!

I do it all the time too. It’s usually when I have a bunch of ARCs and not enough time to read everything I want to. It also doesn’t help when all your holds come in at once.

I’ve had a copy of Ash FOREVER. I don’t know why I never read it!?
I’m almost finished with The Song of Achiles and then I’m going to start Circe! It’s been really good so far–a lot of detail.
