Top Ten Tuesday: Series I’d Like To Finish Someday

So many series, so little time. In a couple cases I’m still waiting for the latest book, but somehow those sequel release dates always sneak up on me!

A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin- hahahahaha let’s move along…

The Ravenspire series by C.J. Redwine- I DNFed the first book in the series, but more because my library hold expired than anything. I really love retellings and the companions sound great so I want to give this series another try.

The Timekeeper series by Tara Sim- I loved book one so much because of how unique and engaging it was, and I predictably haven’t gotten to the sequel yet.

The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff- Way behind the game here but Illuminae was a revelation and Gemina was INSANE so I have to finish the trilogy soon!!

The Conquerer’s Saga by Kiersten White- And I Darken was amazing and here we are two weeks from the finale being released while I still need to read book two. Surprise!

The Song of the Current duology by Sarah Tolscer- I was pleasantly surprised by Song of the Current but I might have to reread before diving into Whispers of the Tide.

The Impostor Queen series by Sarah Fine- I enjoyed this ice/fire magic fantasy series a lot and I love the idea that the second book is a new MC and that the third one wraps the story all together.

The Sin Eater’s Daughter series by Melinda Salisbury- The first book was so unique and the sequels sounded even more interesting.

The Nethergrim Trilogy by Matthew Jobin- this is a middle grade book that I recommend alllll the time so I should probably read the sequel, huh? It’s unclear whether the third book is still going to be published but I hope it will be.

The Kingsbridge series by Ken Follett- I daydreamed about a third book in this series for SO long because I loved the first two so much (each is set 200 years apart in the same English town), and the description for A Column of Fire is so close to what I imagined! This behemoth will take some time to read so I’ll have to set aside an afternoon or three.

Are you a fan of series or do you prefer standalones? What are some that you’re hoping to finish soon? Do you tend to wait until everything is published or read as they are released? Let me know!

It depends on the series for me. Sometimes I stop after book 1, and sometimes I never want it to end. I’ve been meaning to try The Ravenspire series for years! I’ll have to check the library for it after the bar/move stuff. 🙂 Ah, the Game of Thrones books… I feel like it’s still 50/50 whether that series will ever be completed?
