The Game of Thrones Book Tag

I found the Game of Thrones Book Tag on Lacy Literarys blog and couldn’t resist of course! The tag was originally created by Biblio Nyan.

HOUSE LANNISTER: HEAR ME ROAR – Name a book that you originally loved, but upon a re-read realised that it wasn’t so great after all.
I don’t reread books often that I don’t think I’ll still love but I only got halfway through my Throne of Glass reread last year before setting it aside. I’m not sure if it was a mood thing or if I wasn’t enjoying it as much as the first time.

HOUSE STARK: WINTER IS COMING – Name your most anticipated book release for 2017.
There aren’t many months left in 2017 but I am highly anticipating Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills! I loved Emma’s first two books and I know Foolish Hearts will be no exception.

HOUSE TARGARYEN: FIRE AND BLOOD – Name a book that you felt completely slayed with fantastic characters, plot, pacing, etc.
I loved Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay more than I ever expected to! It had everything I love in fantasy novels and was a very satisfying standalone with tons of action, romance, and awesome characters.

HOUSE BARATHEON: OURS IS THE FURY – Name a book that ended with a cliffhanger ending that genuinely pissed you off.
The Orphan Queen
by Jodi Meadows. Talk about a truly cruel cliffhanger!!! I was so mad! The Falconer trilogy had some wicked cliffhangers too: jaw dropping, hope-you-have-the-next-book-immediately kind of stuff.

HOUSE MARTELL: UNBOWED. UNBENT. UNBROKEN. – Name a book, or book series, that’s been on your TBR since the dawn of time.
I’ve had The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley on my TBR for SO long! It sounds like everything I love in adult fiction (dual timeline, historical fiction, Scotland) so I’m not sure what’s stopping me.

HOUSE BOLTON: OUR BLADES ARE SHARP – Name the most graphic or disturbing book that you’ve ever read.
Honestly: probably one of the ASOIAF books. There’s one scene in particular in A Feast For Crows I think that legit stops me from wanting to reread the books. It’s horrifying.
terrible mistake
HOUSE TYRELL: GROWING STRONG – Name a book, or book series, that gets better and better with every re-read.
Ella Enchanted
never loses its charm for me! Every time I read it, it becomes more magical and heartwarming and adorable than the last time.

Let me know what you think of my choices! And I’m tagging anyone who’d like to participate but especially Jessie and Dani at Ageless Pages Reviews 🙂
