I love fall and Halloween, and over the years I’ve written a number of posts centered around those topics that I REALLY love. So instead of writing a subpar or regurgitated version of them, I thought I would put together a roundup post including all of the links!
Fortnight of Fright 2014: all about the cult classic favorite Hocus Pocus
Fortnight of Fright 2015: my October “Must List”
Fortnight of Fright 2016: Halloween movies on my must list + my October TBR
Fortnight of Fright 2017: Caramel Apple Cider Cookies recipe
And for the grand finale, I have what might be one of my favorite posts ever:
Top Ten Tuesday: Books/Movies To Read Or Watch To Get In The Halloween Spirit.
I paired books and movies together for plot reasons or thematic reasons and I’m really pleased with how it turned out all these years later- I still think it’s a great list! (Side note: I still regret not replying to the comments and I’m going to blame being a baby blogger at the time, but I might go back and respond anyway. So if you get a comment that is 3 years late, that’s why!).
To keep with the Halloween spirit, here are a few books and movies/shows I’m hoping to get to this month that weren’t included in my previous post:
Which post did you enjoy the best? Do you have favorite Halloween movies or fall books? Let me know!
I’ve been pretty curious about The Wood – I need to read scarier books this month!

I didn’t end up loving it but I did like it! I can’t resist a creepy wood setting.

This is a great idea!! I just started drafting a post for the blog about how there’s only three months left in the year (and some other seasonal things) — I should totally link with my previous fall-themed posts too.

The Witch of Blackbird Pond is definitely worth reading, and Twitches and Goosebumps are both entertaining in that silly, kind of ridiculous way. Perfect for Halloween! 🙂

I love Goosebumps but still need to watch Twitches, maybe I can fit it in tomorrow somehow!

I’m kind of interested in that Alexandra Bracken book– especially since I found out that it’s MG. I kind of love MG these days. And I’m really pumped for season 2 of Stranger Things. I love your TTT post of Halloween movies/books!! I’ve actually seen most of those movies– which is awesome because I don’t watch a ton of horror.
